New masters for Napoleon in Egypt

Here you can see the next work from Frank Ziegler. We asked him to help us increasing our series of the French Revolution. Especially the Egyptian campaign we want to round up.

My idea for a diorama would be Alexandria or Heliopolis. First against the British, the second against the Turks.

But for both battles we need the infantry in the Kleber uniform. I my collection I already have the figures from Newline Design. Nice ones but true 20mm and so very small. Beside this some old Minifigs S-Range. But all of them have wrong poses. As I am a fan of regular formations and drill we now want to take on the subject.

We asked Alfred Umhey to help us in the uniform research as the army of Egypt is one of his favorites.

He gave us this description of the set (thanks for the last sentence Alfred😊 ):

The figures are depicted in the simplified uniform designed in Egypt.
After a year's campaign, the European "Marching Uniform" of 1798 was worn out.
The short jackets and caps with an eyeshield and neck protection were adapted to the climate.
Suitable for the campaign 1799 against the Turks in Palestine (Jaffa, Akkon, Mont Tabor, Nazareth),
and Egypt (Heliopolis, Abukir) in the blue uniform and against the English 1801 (Alexandria)
in the "colorful" so-called adhesive uniform (green, red, brown, violet ..., which one takes hold so if blue cloth is all)
Obviously opponents are also available from Hagen (Fritz Figures)!

These four figures here are the first to come. Andy wanted to have figures on the march.
